Located in the beautiful community of Hendersonville, TN, we’re surrounded by ways to show our respect and gratitude—from commemorative walks to community gatherings. Veterans Day is a time for us to come together as neighbors, friends, and family, paying tribute to those who served.

Hendersonville Veterans Day Parade – Sunday, November 10th
One of the highlights of Veterans Day in Hendersonville is the Annual Veterans Day Parade – hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9851 and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 240. This event is a longstanding tradition in the community, featuring an inspiring display of local veterans, active-duty service members, community organizations, marching bands, and more. The parade winds through Main Street, where residents and families line up to cheer on participants and show their support. Be sure to bring your flags and signs to wave as we honor our heroes!
The parade offers an excellent opportunity to teach younger generations about the significance of Veterans Day and to hear stories of bravery and resilience directly from veterans in the community. It’s a must-see event, and Durham Farms residents are encouraged to attend, enjoy, and support those who have served.
Veterans Walk: A Place of Reflection
Within Durham Farms, the Veterans Walk is a beloved place where visitors can reflect on the sacrifices of our military heroes. This meaningful pathway is lined with bricks engraved with the names of those who served in the armed forces. At the end of the walk, a flagpole and a memorial plaque create a serene setting for quiet reflection, with benches for visitors to sit, remember, and honor those who’ve served.
For those who would like to honor a loved one, engraved bricks are available for purchase at the beginning of each year. This lasting tribute is a way for families and friends to commemorate service members who have made a difference in their lives.
