Meet Your Neighbors: The Linkous Family

February 11th, 2021

Choosing a home that can grow with you is a big deal. The Linkous family (Blair, Olivia, Jake, and Harrison) looked for just that when they put down roots at Durham Farms. After relocating from West Virginia and living in Nashville for several years, the Linkous family was looking to be closer to their church and family in Hendersonville. Jake specializes in commercial insurance, and Blair has a background in Healthcare Administration. The family love their active lifestyles, and Durham Farms’ amenities were the perfect complement. The Drees home they selected offered a floorplan with the space and features they wanted in their forever home. “Olivia and Harrison love it here. They have plenty of room to play indoors and out too. Once they are a little older, we see lots of sports and community events in our future with new neighborhood friends. The upstairs bedrooms are spacious, and our family will be able to grow in this home. Our experience throughout the building process was seamless and they did a great job communicating and following up with us.”

The Linkous’ Family favorite things about Durham Farms

What they love most about living at Durham Farms are friends they’ve made here. “It is so nice to be able to walk over to a friend’s house or meet them somewhere nearby to let our kids play or hang out for a special occasion.”

Their favorite events include the 2019 Thanksgiving Potluck. “We had been living here just over a month and it was a great way to meet neighbors and get to know people. Jake currently hosts a men’s bible study group with neighbors and Blair hosts a weekly women’s group. We are looking forward to the community service group starting and hopefully some kickball or other outdoor sporting club to start soon!”

Their favorite amenity is the farmhouse. “Having a hub where you can meet up with neighbors, host events, or just stop by for some coffee on a walk is such a great feature for us. We love the fitness center and the pool too.”
