April 23rd-25th: Heritage Days in Goodlettsville

At Heritage Day, guests have the opportunity to experience life on the frontier and witness skilled demonstrators and artists. Guests will have a chance to see, feel, and touch different historical trade skills such as blacksmithing, leatherworking, woodworking, working with fibers and cooking. Heritage Day allows locals to experience the frontier at their own pace between the hours of 9:00 and 1:00 pm on the day that best works with their schedule. Feel free to bring blankets and picnic on the lawn of the Bowen House or anywhere throughout Moss-Wright Park and make a day out of it!

April 27th: Historic Downtown Gallatin Square Fest

Square Fest is an annual spring (rain or shine) event in Downtown Gallatin and has grown in size to more than 200 vendors, attracting more than 25,000 visitors. The event is primarily an arts and crafts festival; however, a large variety of food, several nonprofits, two stages of entertainment and a large children’s area also contribute to the festival. The best part? Admission is free!

May 4th: Mid-TN Magnolia Market

The Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce’s hosts The Mid TN Magnolia Market! With an array of items from local makers, you are sure to find the perfect graduation, mother’s day, and/or birthday gift for those special people in your life. Or treat yourself to a little something! This event is Saturday, May 4th from 10 am-3 pm.

May 4th-5th: Running of the Sheep at Long Hollow Gardens & Vineyards

Join Long Hollow Gardens and Vineyard in their quest for sustainability as they ring the feed bells and welcome their flock into the lower Vineyards for Spring with incredible music and fun for the entire family! Their flock helps break up the typical dependency on harsh chemicals like glyphosate in their wines and they like to celebrate them each Spring as they run down the hill into the lower Vineyards. These $35 tickets for adults includes a tasting of each of their wines, ample seating and lawn games. Kids admission is free with parent or guardian entry.

May 10th-11th: 83rd Annual Middle TN Strawberry Festival

Celebrate the 83rd Annual Middle TN Strawberry Festival in Portland, TN! Kicking off the festival on Friday, May 10th will be the Strawberry Jam Concert & Fireworks! Live music & food vendors will start at 5pm with The Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute headlining followed by fireworks at 8:30pm! Friday night events are off E. MARKET STREET in downtown Portland! The main festival day will be Saturday, May 11th! 200+ vendors, multiple music stages, kids’ area & magic stage and parade at 4pm to end the day!

May 11th-12th: Hendersonville Arts Festival

The Hendersonville Arts Festival is a vibrant art focused event and will showcase American handcrafts and fine art while uniting art lovers, collectors, tourists, and the local community for an elevated and accessible art experience. Selected artisans from across the country will feature works including ceramics, glass, wood, metal, photography, painting, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, mixed media and furniture. The event is family friendly and includes art installations, workshops, fun kid-friendly art projects and more throughout the weekend.

July 3rd: Freedom Festival

Freedom Festival is Sumner County’s largest Independence Day celebration. Anchored in the center of Hendersonville, Drakes Creek Park offers expansive views of the Firework show along with hosting numerous vendors, providing fun, food trucks and non-stop activities like live entertainment & The Hendersonville Has Talent Finale. This free event is a must for the best view of Middle Tennessee’s greatest Firework show – which will light up the night sky all across the region.

August 10th: Sumner Fest

Sumner Fest at The City by the Lake is Sumner County’s premier festival. Nestled on the shoreline of Old Hickory Lake, Sanders Ferry Park is the idyllic backdrop for a celebration filled with food, fun, and non-stop entertainment. Sumner Fest has established itself as a must-do event in Sumner County. Their entertainment stage will echo sounds across the lake and their lively Kid Zone will keep your little one’s joy-filled until the sun goes down. With dozens of merchant vendors showcasing their stuff and food vendors galore tempting your taste buds, you’re sure to find something you’ve been craving.
